Lauren showed her passion for animals at a young age. She grew up wanting to be Steve Irwin. Graduating from UGA with a BSA in Animal Science, she then went on to be a zookeeper. Focusing on large carnivores such as lions, cheetahs, tigers, and bears, she also learned to love snakes and birds of prey. After a few years of conservation, education, and research in the zoological field, Lauren switched to animal medicine in 2017 to widen her skill set in helping animals. She has her dog, Lucky, two cats, and 8 chickens. In her free time, she loves gardening, hiking/camping, and crafts.
